Bluetooth stereo

The Altec Lansing T515 Bluetooth speakers use a wireless headset dongle that's ideal for linking a PC running Windows or Linux to a stereo amplifier. This device uses the A2DP Bluetooth profile for high quality stereo.

I found the necessary driver (well Broadcom Bluetooth stack) for my HP laptop Windows 7 through this article on gadgetmix.com

On Ubuntu "sudo apt-get install blueman" seems to do the job - I already had Pulse Audio installed and configured to work with Spotify.  Finding the right control panels to switch T515 audio on and internal speakers off was a bit of a challenge, but it's there and I got it working after about 10 frustrating minutes.
