A telephone with no dial or keypad.
Here's my version of the bluetooth retro telephone. I'm not the first to do this, here are some other examples -
My approach is a little different. I want this phone to be upgradeable in future, so the bluetooth device should be easily removable. I'd also like to be able to experiment with other input and output devices.
The chosen telephone is an unusual instrument, there probably aren't many like this. A modified variant of the type 300 telephone issued by the GPO to businesses and households in the UK in the 1940s and 1950s. For other examples of phones of this type see http://www.telephonesuk.co.uk/phones_pre1960.htm
Of course adding extra switches and lamps to an old phone isn't hard to do, so if this project is a success similar phones would be easy to make.
